WILDHORSE LADIES GOLF CLASSIC, AUGUST 12-18, 2024

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Please fill out the basic contact information section at the top of the form (name, e-mail, phone).
  2. Review all of our available volunteer category choices.
  3. Select and provide required details for your TOP FOUR volunteer category choices.
  4. Last, click the red button to submit your completed form.

Cart Scorer – Cart scorers are assigned to one group and are tasked with driving a golf cart, recording the scores for each player in the group and radioing these scores in to Scoring Central.  Must have valid driver’s license and be able to operate a two-way radio.

Marshall – Marshalls assist with minimizing the potential distractions caused by fans attending the tournament.

Scoreboard and Leaderboard – Volunteers are tasked with updating three on course leaderboards and the track board located near the clubhouse.  Volunteers will receive scores from a Tour issued iPad.

Special Events – Volunteers will help with registering golfers for the Youth Clinics, Pro Registration, Pro/Am Registration and Pro-Am Reception.

Standard Bearer – Standard Bearers walk the course and carry a standard sign which includes the names and scores of the players in a specific group.  They confirm each player’s score with the cart scorer and update scores on the sign as play progresses for all 18 holes.

Driving Range/Caddy Tent – Volunteers are responsible for assembling and distributing caddie bibs to all caddies at the caddie tent.  Refilling range stations with range balls and filling/refilling golf club cleaning buckets on the range.

Guest Starter – The Guest Starter announces players on the 1st or 10th tee, distributes scorecards and statistic cards and gives last minute information to players.

Real Time Scorers – Responsible for receiving score radio calls from each cart scorer and recording these scores in a laptop computer.

Scorecard Runner – Responsible for delivering official scorecards from the Scoring Tents to the Tournament Office.

Scoring Tent – Volunteers verify each scorecard in the Scoring Tent after the player has completed their round.  Basic math skills required with a minimum age of 18.

Spotter– Spotters act as “forecaddies” or “advance scouts” by assisting the professionals in locating wayward golf shots.  Stationed near a fairway or green, spotters watch each shot and help locate a ball in situations where player may not have a clear view of the ball’s final resting position.

Volunteer Services – Volunteers greet and register other volunteers at the big Volunteer Tent. Volunteer Services will hand out polo shirts to volunteers that couldn’t attend the Volunteer Meeting, provide general information, and assist with dispersing volunteers to their assigned areas.

All volunteers will be required to sign a release of liability. Volunteers under the age of 18 years will need a signature from a parent or legal guardian.
